At Takes A Village for Change, we believe healing begins with how you're treated. That’s why we provide comprehensive, community-based behavioral health services that meet people where they are—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Whether you're managing mental health challenges, substance use, or life transitions, our doors are open, and our care is personal.

Our Mission

Community-based care that meets people where they are

At Takes A Village for Change, our mission is to deliver high-quality, culturally competent behavioral health services that meet the emotional, mental, and social needs of individuals and families in our community. We focus on trauma-informed, whole-person care—especially for those impacted by poverty, addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and mental illness. Our goal is to create access to healing, stability, and long-term support—without judgment and without barriers.

Our Vision

A future where healing is accessible, inclusive, and community-driven

We envision a world where every individual—regardless of background, income, or circumstance—has access to compassionate behavioral health care. At Takes A Village for Change, we aim to close gaps in the mental health system by delivering inclusive, trauma-informed services that foster healing, hope, and long-term well-being for the communities we serve.

Our Philosophy

Care starts with respect—and every person deserves both

At Takes A Village for Change, we believe that every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity. Our philosophy is rooted in person-centered, trauma-informed care that values the whole person—not just their symptoms. We honor the lived experiences of our clients and approach each relationship with cultural humility, compassion, and a commitment to equity. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all—so we walk alongside each person, tailoring support that meets their unique needs and goals.
